Clean Marina Pledge

As the representative of Key Biscayne Yacht Club, I pledge that the facility will strive to implement the Clean Marina Program’s Best Management Practices as standards of operations at the facility. This commitment also includes making all reasonable efforts to complete the Clean Marina, Clean Boatyard, and/or Clean Retailer Action Plan in the combined manual provided by the Florida Clean Marina Program, leading to designation as a clean facility. I commit to do my part to keep Florida’s waterways free of harmful chemicals, excess nutrients, and debris by maintaining an environmentally responsible business.
Through the following Best Management Practices, I will identify opportunities and implement practices to control pollution associated with:

Vessel Maintenance and Repair
Petroleum Storage and Transfer
Sewage Disposal
Solid, Liquid, and Hazardous Waste
Facility Operations

The Clean Marina Program

The Clean Marina Program is a voluntary designation program that encourages marina facilities to incorporate the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's environmental Best Management Practices, which exceed regulatory requirements. Aligning with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s strategic goals, the Clean Marina Program aims to create partnerships with local communities and businesses to protect natural resources and promote economic growth. Florida environmental outreach, and education are crucial to preserving the state's natural resources.
