Summer Camp

This program gives the kids access to the amazing resources at the Club. The kids will learn the basics of sailing and fishing onsite. They will play tennis and other sports, swim, craft, decorate baked goods from your Pastry Chef, and participate in some good old fashioned fun. Lunch is included in this program.

Hobie Explorers (Ages 6-10) | 9:00 am-4:00 pm

This program provides an introduction for the young salts (ages 6-10). The kids get to navigate the mangroves and sandbars while learning about the environment and the sealife of Biscayne Bay. The young salts learn the basics of sailing through fun and play. Kids will learn how to sail in a group on the Club's fleet of Hobie Waves. Lunch is included in this program.

Beginner Opti Sailing (Ages 8-12) | 9:00 am-4:00 pm

Children (8-12 years old) with little or no previous sailing experience take to this program like a duck to water. They gain confidence by learning to sail an Optimist Dinghy single-handed. At the end of the course, parents enjoy watching their child sail the Opti by themselves around an Olympic Triangle. Lunch is included.

Intermediate Opti Sailing (Ages 8-13)  | 9:00 am-4:00 pm

Sailors (8-13 years old) who have completed Beginner Opti Sailing or equivalent enjoy successfully completing intermediate and avdance instruction in boat handling. Sailors receive introduction to basic sailboat racing, including rules and tactics in Optimist Dinghy. Lunch is included.

Teens Only Summer Sailing (Ages 13-18) | 9:00 am-4:00 pm

Teens (13-18 years old) who wish to learn beginning and intermediate level sailing in lasers, Club 420s, and our Vanguard 15. They will enjoy and abundance of interaction with others while having fun on the water. Lunch is included.
