I am currently a student at Florida International University and Miami Dade College seeking my bachelors in Construction Management. I have been an avid kite-boarder for 10 years- in my third year of kite boarding I got 3rd place at the Kite Masters held at Miami Kitebording. My other hobbies are wakeboarding, snowboarding and mountain biking.

After seeing-through the success of a historic, home-grown generation of Optimist talent, Galarce started coaching at the Key Biscayne Yacht Club in Fall, 2016. Galarce continues to pursue his passion for the sport, employing his unique motivational methodology, and a commitment to constant, high-level  improvement in the tradecraft of both sailing and coaching, to raise future cohorts of champion sailors.
